~ Philosophy make you groan?
~ Can’t relate to ancient gurus and dusty texts? ~ Yearning for insights relevant to your life today? Join San Francisco Bay Area-based teachers Richard Rosen and Ann Dyer for this entertaining, experiential afternoon that will benefit both your practice and your everyday life. Together, Ann and Richard will lead you through a mind-opening enquiry through the poetic lens of the ancient Upanishads that still hold the power to inspire and illuminate our lives today. Richard will shed light on the history and understandings behind the Upanishad’s maha vakyas (“great utterances”), reassuring, easily remembered, statements that affirm our identity while that providing us with seeds for seated meditations as well as "mini-meditations" we can call on throughout our day. Ann will follow, leading us through beautiful chants and meditations in their original Sanskrit to bring to life for each one of us the answer to the core question for every yoga student: Who am I? Expect to leave feeling a little more clarity of mind, lightness of heart — and just maybe — at peace with who you are. |
